Speed For Sport — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Speed For Sport ("we", "us") is a youth sprint-coaching programme led by Tim
Abeyie. This policy explains what information the Speed For Sport app collects,
how it is used, and the choices you (and your parent or guardian) have. We keep
it short and honest.
Who we are
Speed For Sport, Leeds, United Kingdom. Contact:
tim@speedforsport.co.uk — or use
Settings → Contact support inside the app. Website:
www.speedforsport.ai.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and profile
photo, provided by the sign-in service you choose (Google or Apple).
- Training data — your drill scores, session counts,
streaks and personal bests, so the app can show your progress and the
leaderboard.
- Camera & video — the app uses the camera to analyse
sprint technique. Video is analysed on your device. A clip is
uploaded only when you choose to send it (for example, asking your coach for
feedback, or posting it in a group), or when run-video saving is switched on
(see Run videos below).
- Movement measurements — for every AI-scored run we store
the measurements the camera derived (joint angles, speed and distance
estimates, the coach's feedback), so you and your coach can track progress
over time. These are numbers, not pictures.
- Community content — posts, comments and media you choose
to share in groups.
- Wallet & purchases — your credit balance and order
history. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see
or store your card number.
Run videos (optional)
You can choose to have the video of each scored run saved so you and your
coach can replay it from My Sessions. This is off unless it is
switched on:
- Consent first — athletes aged 13 or over choose for
themselves; for children under 13 only a parent or guardian can switch it on
(UK GDPR sets 13 as the age of digital consent).
- Private — a saved run video is visible only to the
athlete and their coach. Videos are never public and never shared.
- Short-lived — saved run videos are automatically deleted
after 90 days.
- In your control — turn saving off, delete all saved
videos, or delete any single run at any time in the app
(Settings → Run videos and My Sessions).
- Always a fallback — with saving off, runs are replayed
as an animated skeleton drawn from the movement measurements, with no video
stored at all.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not upload your training video unless you explicitly send it or have switched run-video saving on.
Children
Speed For Sport is designed for young athletes aged 6–18, used with the
knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians can contact us
at any time to review or remove their child's information. Community spaces are
moderated: content can be reported in-app and we review reports promptly.
Where your data lives
Data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Payments are
handled by Stripe. Both act as our processors and do not use your data for
their own purposes.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account at any time in
Settings → Delete account — this permanently removes your profile,
progress history, wallet and private messages. You can also ask us to do it for
you using the contact details above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you (or your parent/guardian) may ask for a copy of your data,
ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond
within one month. You may also complain to the ICO
(ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
